£55k Investment to Complete New Catering Kitchen Project
We are delighted to announce the completion of a £55k investment to create a new catering kitchen in our former Boardroom. The new kitchen, which is now available for client use, sees months of planning come together to transform the ground floor meeting space in to a state of the art catering area for all types of events.
The six week refurbishment, carried out by five local contractors, forms part of a larger project to create multiple kitchen and preparation spaces to serve both the Turbine Hall and our seven smaller meeting rooms. Alongside the 30m² catering kitchen, we have created a new food and drink preparation area adjacent to the Turbine Hall as well as a Green Room for smaller meetings in the hall.
One of the things we pride ourselves on here at CastleGate is providing a flexible package for those looking for event space in the city centre, not least for wedding receptions. With no restriction on catering, clients are able to bring in their own suppliers or even cater themselves, allowing freedom for creativity as well as budget. The hope in providing superb new catering and preparation spaces is to further benefit clients hiring our venue for all manner of events.
Ed Morrow, Managing Director of the CastleGate, said: “We are delighted to finally be able to offer some exceptional catering space to add to the other benefits offered by CastleGate as one of the most exciting and unusual conference and events venues in the city. We hope that it will be an enormous asset, not only to ourselves but to the wide range of clients who use our facilities.”
The local contactors involved in the refurbishment were: Sigma Kitchen Contractors, Applied Electrical Services, Les Frizzel Joinery Services, Charlton Plastering Services, Mark Wilson Plumbing Services. The project was managed by Ed Morrow.
